TxDOT
will determine the eligibility of agencies for the drawing
by evaluating the submitted data on the Buckle Up Texas
website. Agencies meeting the eligibility requirements will
be categorized as described in the table above and a random
drawing will occur. The results of the random drawing will
be posted on the Buckle Up Texas website no later than June
25, 2005 . A TxDOT representative will contact the selected
agencies and determine what type of equipment or training
the agency plans to purchase. A Letter of Agreement will
then be drafted by TxDOT and signed by both parties. Agencies
will submit receipts of purchase for the equipment and TxDOT
will reimburse the agency for the actual costs, not to exceed
the limits listed above. Click here to see categories of
equipment/training that are allowable (
Equipment/Training ).
Remember,
TxDOT has the authority to request that each agency show
written documentation to prove their participation in the
CIOT campaign.
TxDOT
looks forward to working with your agency on this worthwhile
project. As we all know, safety belts and child passenger
restraints save lives. With your participation we can make
a difference. Click It or Ticket!
