• The Criminal Justice Training Center of Tarrant County College will be hosting a 24 hour SFST Practitioner class on July 6-8, 2010.
  
  Participating officers will become proficient in DWI detection and in the use of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. This class will include practical exercises with live drinkers. It will also include a report writing exercise and a live moot court.
  
  TCLEOSE mandated that the 24 hour block of SFST training be added to the basic police academy in 2005. However, if an officer graduated from the police academy prior to 2005 then that officer may not have received this training.
  
  It is essential that all officers have SFST training, especially those who are working in patrol or other enforcement assignments. Tuition for this class is $150.00 per officer. Registration is available by contacting the TCC staff members listed on this web site.
